Table 19

Table 19 – It’s the table for all those don’t-quite-fit-in wedding guests. Eloise (Anna Kendrick) who was recently dumped by the bride’s brother (Wyatt Russell); Jo (June Squibb), former nanny to the bride; the Kepps (Craig Robinson and Lisa Kudrow), a mismatched couple on the verge of breaking up; an awkward kid named Rezno (Tony Revolori) who is desperately hoping to lose his virginity; and out of prison for the day Cousin Walter (Stephen Merchant) posing as a successful businessman.

You have to listen fast as Eloise describes the other table seatings for “parents, except Mom” , ” eligible singles” and “iffy singles.” In an elegant setting with embarrassing wedding speeches and even more embarrassing singing by friends, Table 19 bonds and find they’re all pretty good people with a few flaws and imperfections.

Funny, sweet and a little melancholy. It’s okay to wait for Netflix.
