The Amazing Spiderman 2

The Amazing Spiderman 2 – It begins with a little more about what happened to Peter Parker’s (Andrew Garfield) parents although Peter still doesn’t know. Gwen (Emma Stone) graduates – from high school. Spiderman befriends Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx), an engineer at Oscorp. Max has not a whit of self confidence until he’s fried to a crisp and becomes Electro. Peter’s childhood buddy Harry Osborne (Dane DeHaan) inherits Oscorp along with the deadly disease that killed his father. Spiderman is a lot funnier and more playful than Peter who looks perplexed a lot of the time. Aunt May (Sally Field) is still the nurturer.

Spidey does some amazing leaps and bounds, as graceful as a ballerina in his spandex. Dozens and dozens of police cars are wrecked and smashed. Evil and destruction and some really nasty scenes. Spiderman comics were for kids but this movie isn’t, at least not for young ones. The story is part romance, part action, and part complicated. Too many ends that don’t get tied up. More than likely, there will be another one.
