Non-Stop – Suspense-wise, this is an airplane hijacking movie to end all airplane hijacking movies. US Air Marshall Marks (Liam Neeson) is an angry alcoholic with a fear of flying. On board a transatlantic flight, he gets a text message that one person is going to die if $150 million is not transferred to a secret bank account within 20 minutes. He sets out to find the texter with the help of the flight crew and fellow passenger Jen (Julianne Moore). Shortly, the TSA discovers that the bank account is in Marks’ name. He’s being set up, but why. Time is running out and three people are dead, including the captain. The passengers are ready to overtake Marks when he discovers a bomb. He has to convince them he’s not the terrorist despite all appearances. Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary on Downton Abbey) and Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave) are flight attendants.

Neeson has such a sad, hurt aspect to his eyes that disappears in a second when he switches to his sweet, kind, and/or sexy personality. Then with just one other look, he can make grown men do his bidding. I like him. Whether you can believe the movie, especially the reason behind the hijacking, doesn’t really matter. Just take your nitro glycerin and enjoy it.
