Contraband – There’s a lot of effing going on – I stopped counting after the first 50 times it was used.  There’s some brutal fighting and some blood.  There’s a whole lot of intensity and it’s a  darn good movie.  Chris Faraday (Mark Wahlberg) is a second generation, first class smuggler who’s given it all up for his wife and kids, and now installs home security systems.   When his wife’s (Kate Beckinsale) stupid younger brother messes up a drug delivery and has the really bad guys after him, Faraday is forced to do one last job, which he secretly enjoys.   He rounds up his besties and they sign up on a container ship to transport huge amounts of counterfeit money from Panama without anyone knowing, of course.

Things start going awry, younger brother screws up again in an effort to keep Faraday’s kids from being killed.  Best friend, Sebastian (Ben Foster) who stays back home turns out not to be who he seems to be.  Beckinsale doesn’t get to do a lot except try to protect her kids and be a wife.  Capt. Camp (J.K. Simmons “The Closer”) is willing to look the other way if he gets cut into the deal.  There’s a sting ending and proof  that crime does pay if you know how to do it right.
