Mission Impossible: Ghost Protoco.

Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol – This is a mission I think you should choose to accept.  It starts out with you close to the edge of your seat, and you stay there for most of the rest of the movie.  The tension is extreme and fun, too.  Begins with breaking Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) out of a Russian prison.  I wasn’t real sure why he was there but it doesn’t matter.  He’s assigned to a mission to stop the launching of a nuclear missile bound for the US.  First job, invade the Kremlin.  There are some amazing moves, (I’d swear I saw a triple “lutz” like they do in ice skating) some amazing stunts, and some amazing technology.  Conveniently, a really cool, hooded leather jacket shows up at just the right time. Same for a killer BMW.  Just when you think one problem has been solved, along comes another including a blinding sand storm.  It travels from Budapest to Moscow to India, lots and lots of beautiful architecture and scenery.

Whether you like Mr. Cruise or not, you’ve got to give him credit for the chutzpah that it takes to zip around the outside of the tallest building in Dubai and a whole bunch of other stunts he does.  Simon Pegg is great as Benji, and both Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton are  right there with their roles.  Millions had to have been spent on this and it will probably earn it all back.  Stay tuned for MI – No. 5.
