The Girl Who Played With Fire

The second in Stieg Larsson’s trilogy about Lisbeth Salander, a brilliant computer hacker, and investigative journalist Mikhael Blomkvist. You don’t need to read the books to enjoy the movies although you should probably see the first movie before seeing this. Typically, I don’t like violence in books or movies but these are just so well written and played that it seems justified or at least understandable. I did have to keep my eyes shut through a couple of scenes but that’s okay, it’s still worth seeing.
The movies were filmed in Sweden where you’d imagine everyone was pretty – not necessarily the case here. And you’d think someone would notice that white type (it has subtitles) does not real well against white backgrounds.
